POSITION TITLE Production Supervisor, Components DIRECT MANAGER Manager Components REGION / BUSINESS AREA MacGregor/_Merchant Ship Segment LOCATION Nantong DIVISION / BUSINESS UNIT Dry Cargo Business Line PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To supervise manufacturing of components. HC components （fittings） Lashings Hydraulics KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES A.Main Responsibilities 1.Supervision ?Random QA/QC-inspection of hatch cover components and lashings ?QC-records, material certificates, measurement protocols checks ?Sample approvals, releasing the tools/processes ?To develop and control fabricator’s QC/QA-system in order to make the fabricator work independently according to MCG quality requirements. ?Supervise fabrication according to general standards. 2.Supplier audits ?make sure that technical issues are covered correctly ?follow-up development issues （findings） on technical issues at supplier 3.Technical development ?initiate technical development proposal at supplier production process, equipment, quality and systems 4.Claim handling ?participate on （technical） claim handling ?corrective/preventive action handling at supplier 5.Sourcing ?participate on supplier evaluation （technical issues） ?support VM in terms of technical supplier development B.Other tasks agreed on separately POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education ?College or above in electronic, hydraulic, marine engineering or related background Experience ?Min 2-3 years related experience in QC or production Skills ?Good communication skills in English Competencies ?Solid knowledge of steel fitting manufacturing. WORKING TOGETHER WITH Supplier network, Vendor managers, Quality manager and assisting Contract managers as necessary |
