Surveyor – New Building Job Description: - Supervising new construction of ships at the shipyards’ premises and carrying out surveys as applicable according to relevant requirements of Rules, Conventions, Regulations and the approved plans； - Prepare and issue accurately and timely Survey reports and ship’s certificates； Requirements: - Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering； - Previous professional experiences in Classification Societies and/or Chief Engineer Working Experience would be a strong plus； Preferable to have solid working experience for passenger ships； - At least 6 years significant professional experience in similar or related businesses is requested., e.g. quality control of new construction, marine engineering as class Surveyor or as owner superintendent, etc.； - English skill is necessary； - Willing to travel frequently domestic and abroad； - Practical and theoretical knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment and safety systems of ships； - Fluent in English language, both written and spoken； - IT literate in MS Office； - Ability to work in a team and on tight schedules； - Ability to manage conflicts and to negotiate. |
