Job Description The production manager in the Field Machining/Shipyard Work Department will report directly to the GM on site.?The candidate will also interact with various supporting Prime Contractors＇ department heads and their team along with our and customers.???? The seleｃted candidate will be responsible for all Contract Work Items including scheduling, operations budget, material tracking, enforcement of OSHA, Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies, and supervises all assigned employees to ship through the Ship Superintendents and Shift Supervisors. Work closely with Customers counterpart and customer interface directly impacts Customer Satisfaction. Coordinates and supervises subcontract labour.???? In conjunction with supporting the Project Manager and other department with Planning, initiate job setup, working with contracts, estimating, craft management, and production support to include the program review and make/buy requisition process.???Verify initial schedules, manpower, subcontractor requirements and negotiations.??Determine assignments and allocate responsibilities of Project Team.??Direct the development of production schedules including duration, milestones and key events. Monitor production progress and keep Program Management informed at all times.???? Ensure that administrative activities meet all deadlines, writing and reviewing Daily work done report and reviewing bids for accuracy and content.???Maintain positive Customer relations, facilitating two way communications between Management and the Customer.?Attend meetings as required.????? Ensures the workforce operates in accordance with OSHA and Company Mandated Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.??This includes regular safety, quality and environmental meetings, participation in incident investigations and responding to corrective action reports and supporting root cause analysis and preventive actions.???? Job Requirements Age between 30-40 years are preferred. Minimum 5 years experience with a Bachelor degree on related field.? Shipyard repair experience is a must.? Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience?? Must have a passport? Must be able to pass a criminal background check?? Must be able to work from 8 am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday, 8am to 1pm Saturday and overtime as needed & weekend and Holidays as needed?? Must be proficient with Microsoft Office （Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint）?? Must have strong English written and oral communication skills??? Must be able to board ships, enter confined spaces with limited visibility and have the ability to climb up and down stairs and/or ladders of varying heights to complete the job or inspections?? Must be able to work indoors and outdoors under all weather conditions?? Must be physically and medically qualified to wear required personal protective equipment?? Must be able to interact with a variety of people in a variety of settings. Ensure that interdepartmental relations are maintained.???? Ensure that requirements of the safety handbook are properly followed and enforced.??? Perform similar, incidental and other duties as assigned |
