Position - Lead Service Engineer - Diesel Direct Report to -Diesel Department Manager Home Base -Shanghai China Role Profile – ? Be capable and have experience to work as lead hand on diesel engine and related work mainly in the marine market. ? Carry out engine trouble shooting and diagnostic checks ? Will be required to work as a key person and potential leader within a team. ? Will be the key on site contact with the customer or Ship Yard, bearing in mind that most customers are international and communication language will be English. ? Write technical job process sheets. ? Complete in detail and accurate technical and job done reports. ? Set up and implement Reporting templates ? Assess an sign off on other reports ? Assist in Ad-hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned Requirements of the Position ? Will have a technical qualification in mechanical engineering or similar. ? Will approach business in a structured and well organised manner and have good organisational capabilities. ? Have experience and training from a relevant OEM engine builder or service organisation ? Is able and capable of working within a team and promoting team building and cooperation within the department. ? Will be a good communicator and understand the reporting requirements of the company. ? Have a good command of English Language both written and spoken ? Experience of writing technical reports in English and Chinese. ? Has an outgoing and proactive nature ? Is of clean and tidy appearance ? Will have an open and honest approach to business ? Should possess a valid passport and be willing to travel overseas, mainly for training, and around China for customer and shipyard work. |
