POSITION TITLE Supplier Development Manager DIRECT MANAGER Director, Procurement REGION / BUSINESS AREA China, but must be able to work elsewhere also LOCATION Nantong PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Manage our production development tasks and promote efficient production processes at partner plants for Lashing Bridge production KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES · To lead production improvement projects · Make recommendations to R&D and design teams in CSS to make the fabrication processes as efficient as possible. · Educate fabrication partners to follow recommendations · Analyze and recommend improvements to cost structure of fabrication partner · Calculate savings coming from CSS recommendations · Review and evaluate suggestions from fabrication partners · Training of fabrication partners in CSS products · Recommending and designing new factory concepts （lay out of facility, machinery seleｃtion, etc.） · Lead a team of production engineers and technicians POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education B.Sc./M.Sc., Production Engineering, Ship building engineering Experience Minimum 10 years in Production process engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of management experience Competencies Very thorough knowledge of production processesMust be experienced in Lean methodologyPeople management skillsStrong influencing and good cooperation skillsFluent Chinese and English Advantage: Understanding of digitalization of production processes WORKING TOGETHER WITH Internal: R&D, Design, Sourcing, QA, External: partners, 3rd party consultants, |
